Unexpected Guest

Long story short, I had an unexpected guest show up this evening from Canada. I thought I was going to miss the meeting entirely but ended up getting there late. My apologies to Debbie and Brooke for showing up late, I'm sorry I missed you.

Tonight's Location?

COuld someone post the name/address of the place we're meeting tonight?

Hey All

First, thanks to Deb for setting this up and while we're on the subject how 'bout our friend doing that thing where expressing your honest feelings to the universe makes good things come your way!  Deb expressed her frustration about losing the email in which someone wished to place and order and in response she gets another email with multiple orders -- love the way that works.
Second, Carla . . . here's to you girlfriend for facing the big one: scanning the artwork to make the giclee reproductions.  You've told us how challenging this is and how it was one of those "big ones" on your list.  So there you are getting it done!  Our thoughts are definitely with you!

OK I've been flicking back and forth to review the posts and realize now I can post in the comments section to the original post which would probably make much more sense when you all read this so I'm going to try that next for Christina's "Getting Started Blogging" post.

Little Star Creative Parties

OK I'm still figuring out how to blog but I'm figuring I'll give a different title to different input so people can pick what's helpful for them.  Here's to our own creative star who launched her website and my experience there.  Uh Deb?  A little help here?  I sent Luciana an email using the link on her website so she could see if that was working.  I copied the body of the email and am trying to paste it here.  But every time I hit paste it appears below this tan border and does not appear when this blog is posted.  Any thoughts?  I'll try to send the email to you guys separately so we can all provide some feedback for the site.

Hello Ladies,
I sent some quotes by email since I had to miss the last meeting.
My site is FINALLY up. Please send me your honest feed back. I've learned to make many changes myself. It is not done, or perfect, but I am really happy with it. Send me your thoughts, changes, comments.

When one door closes

Another opens!

So after telling you last night about what a dork I am for accidentally deleting an email with an order...I got home this afternoon to an email from someone I have previously done some work for, and she wants FOUR necklaces! And yes, I IMMEDIATELY wrote her back AND saved her email address :-).

Hope you are all well and staying as dry as possible.

Hi Ladies,
My friend (and project manager) Roni has been here all week, and we are finalizing many details for the website. It is exciting. I haven't worked on anything I thought I would, but I've gotten a LOT done to move ahead with my business. :-) My husband will be taking Thursday off to work with me most of the day on training me to do the extremely complicated task of scanning the artwork for making the giclee reproductions (the images will then be sent over to the website programmer to populate the site). This is the part that strikes the deepest fear into my soul, and I have about 150 of them to do, so I'll be thankful for any prayers or positive thoughts you send my way. :-)

Thanks to each one of you for your great support! I look forward to being back with you all the first Tuesday of February. I'll miss being there for 2 whole weeks! :-(

Hugs,
Carla

Getting Started Blogging

Hello Mindful Women,

This is actually my first time using a blog. Thanks for setting it up. Ila Grace is wonderful and I appreciate all of your support! Thank you!

I am working on my website homepage content. I am pasting it here for input:
HOMEPAGE CONTENT
Have you ever gotten to the end of your day and wished that you hadexercised your body that day? Have you ever felt regret for nottaking care of yourself? Have you felt sick and tired of feeling thattype of regret?
Or, are you on a roll? You are good at taking care of your body, mindand spirit and yet willing to have more and feel even more empoweredin yourself?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you will loveMobileNetWork-Out. My purpose is to help you overcome the barriers oftime and know-how, to give you the motivation and fun factor you needto move your body -- everyday -- in a way that makes you stronger, healthier and happier.
How It Works -Select some times during a day when you can spare one-minute, choose acouple of friends to join you (or ask to be added to a group), andstart receiving one-minute highly effective, static movements thatwill reshape your body, uplift your mood and make you happier.
Why It Works -MobileNetWork-Out gets around the need for time to workout by breakingexercise down into one minute increments. If you are unsure whatone-minute can do for you, try doing a few of our one minute exerciseseveryday for 5 days in a row and feel the difference. In fact, don'tbe surprised if one minute is too long for you to hold some of thesemovements. Just do 30 seconds, or 10 if that is all you can do.
Also, research shows that people who connect with others duringexercise are more likely to do exercise. You are joining aNetWork-Out group. You'll do it together and report your success backto the group by responding to a text message or email. It is veryeasy.
Exercises are designed for you. They take the guess work out of whatto do in a workout. We'll increase intensity gradually, as yourability grows. Your MobileNetWork-Out is easy, fun and effective --making you healthier, stronger, and dare I say and more alive?

Debbie,
Once again you've inspired me!!! Congratulations on making things happen since our
last meeting.  Is it just me or are the Deborahs in this group acquiring property like
a bunch of monopoly players!

I got to peek in the door at Joe's Plating this weekend -- the store itself was closed but
it's another thing I get to cross off my list of things I aimed to do.

I did it!

Well I did it, I called the commercial real estate agent I was talking about...and he has a place he thinks might be good for me. It isn't available until June which is fine, this gives me some time to get inventory, arrange advertising etc, the price is right and it's in a pretty good location just off of upper State...the problem is they want a lease signed soon (like the next 30 days) so they know they have a tenant when the other leaves. This means I have to put the final polish on my business plan and financials and approach the bank - YIKES!!

Hang on, the roller coaster ride has begun!!
